When I first started my entrepreneurial journey, I was all about the masculine energy: setting up the funnels, writing for my blog, posting on social media, connecting with other entrepreneurs, basically all of the business-y things. This all went SUPER well until I hit a “rut,” which was really my “bottom.” I had no desire to do the daily tasks I had been doing for so long. And I had no clarity on what I was supposed to be working on. I felt lost and directionless.
It took me about 3 months of being in that “rut” to realize that it wasn’t actually a “rut.” It took me 3 months to figure out that that’s what being in unalignment feels like. The Universe was making me stop so that I could re-evaluate what I was doing, what I was working on, who I was helping, so that I could be set on the right path once again.
It was then that I realized how important it is to add in the feminine energy aspects. And I started realizing that I wasn’t building a soul-centered business, but that that was the direction in which I needed to go to be aligned.
So, for the past couple of years, I have been learning about the balance between the masculine and feminine energy and about building a business that is truly heart and soul-centered.
So here’s the question, right? What does it mean to build a soul-centered business?
To me, building a soul-centered business is about balancing the Sacred Masculine and Divine Feminine energies. It’s about creating your day intentionally so that you’re doing the business-y side of things, but you’re also doing the things to let your creative side out. So maybe you’re writing a couple blog posts today, revamping your website, and answering emails. But you’re also taking time out of the day to meditate, to go for a 30 minute walk outside, and cooking a healthy dinner. It’s all about the balance. And when the balance is off, your alignment is off and you will begin to feel it in your business and you feel the overwhelm, doubt, and burnout creep in.
But building a soul-centered business is also more than just the balance between the Sacred Masculine and Divine Feminine.
When I started my business, I had no clue what I was doing. So I started doing the things everyone was telling me to do to build a successful, fulfilling business. What I soon found out I that none of those strategies worked for me, because just because one strategy works for one person does not mean it will work for everyone. But also because those strategies weren’t aligned for my unique business, and for me as a unique individual.
So those things that you hate doing in your business? Maybe it’s writing the blog posts, updating your website, or posting on social media. Sure, some of them are super helpful in getting your name out there and your services out there, but you don’t HAVE to do them all. And I mean that in two ways: First, just because other entrepreneurs have a blog, does not mean that you need a blog to be successful. Secondly, you don’t have to be the person who does the work; you can always hire it out to someone who does love to do that work. It’s so important to be aware of what you love to do, and what you don’t love to do because it shows you what is and isn’t aligned. It shows you can you can make simple changes in your life and in your business to make you business so much more aligned.
It’s also so important to remember that things change with divine timing. So often we have to go through and grow through particular situations and experiences so that other aligned situations and experiences can be shown to us. Take my first business for example: Starting and building Limitless Millennials Coaching was a step I HAD to take to get me out of my 9-5 job, and that allowed me to learn SO MUCH about running a business. When it became unaligned and I moved onto building Dear Enlightened One Online Magazine and then coming back later on to build Hannah Morth Soulful Mentoring, I looked back and realized that none of it was senseless. It ALL had to occur so that I could get to where I am today- like dominoes falling.
So at the end of the day, building a heart and soul-centered business means integrating the Divine Feminine and Sacred Masculine energies, and it also means designing a business that FUELS your soul, that allows you to live your life as you dream of living it, and that FEELS GOOD to be building it. Are you building a heart-centered business?
